“When you go forth journeying in the land, there is no blame on you if you shorten the Prayer, (especially) if you fear that the unbelievers might cause you harm. Surely the unbelievers are your open enemies.” (4:101)
Another Ayat;
وَاَقِيۡمُوۡا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوۡا الزَّکٰوةَ ؕ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوۡا لِاَنۡفُسِكُمۡ مِّنۡ خَيۡرٍ تَجِدُوۡهُ عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ بَصِيۡرٌ
“And establish prayer and give zakah, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves – you will find it with Allah. Indeed, Allah of what you do, is Seeing.” (2:110)
Importance of Prayers (Namaz) By Hadiths,
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللٌّهِ (ع): صَلاَةٌ فَرِيضَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ عِشْرِينَ حَجَّةً وَ حَجَّةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ بَيْتٍ مَمْلُوءٍ ذَهَباً يُتَصَدَّقُ مِنْهُ حَتَّى يَفْـنَى
Imam As-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: “One obligatory prayer is better than performing Hajj twenty times, and the performance of one Hajj is better than giving away a house full of gold.” (Biharul Anwar, Volume 82, Page 227)
How Long Should Each Prayer (Salah) Take?
Nowadays, many Muslims won’t offer prayer because they though it takes a lot of time. But it is not true. It is right that life has become very busy in this advanced world. But offering namaz is mandatory. All the prayers collectively take less than 1 hour.
